I am almost forty, do you believe it

I’ve been gone twenty years, can you believe it

I shall never be back, believe that

I am finally at large, hard to believe

but what I mean, as unbelievable as it sounds 

is that everything, believe you me 

and I mean everything, 

is going according to plan, as I always believed it would
